TABLE TENNIS 101 GROUP CLASS

TT101 GROUP CLASSES WILL START MONDAY, JANUARY 9th

AND WILL MEET EVERY MONDAY FROM 5:30PM - 7:00PM

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Whether you are new to the sport or just getting back into the game, this is the perfect class to ease your way into the sport. The class is designed for players learning the basic elements of the game. Instruction will focus on grips, ready position, basic strokes, basic serve and serve return, basic footwork, and rules of the game. You will also learn the scientific principles that are necessary to understand about timing, racket acceleration, contact points on the ball, and timing that will give you the foundation to reach the higher levels of the game. Table Tennis 101 is a 4-Week Course (6 hours) that starts on Monday, July 11, 2022.

Limit of eight (8) participants. 

LEARN FROM MASTER COACH, RICHARD McAFEE

Coach McAfee is the only Certified USA Table Tennis National Coach in Colorado. He is an inductee into the USATT “Hall of Fame”.  Author of “Table Tennis, Steps to Success”, he has been coaching since 1970.  Coach McAfee is also an International Table Tennis Federation Course Conductor and has worked in more than 30 Countries, training +1800 coaches and 4000+ athletes.

TABLE TENNIS 102 GROUP CLASS

TT102 GROUP CLASSES WILL START MONDAY, FE BRUARY 20th

AND WILL MEET EVERY MONDAY  FROM 5:30PM - 7:15PM

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Have you completed the TT101 Class or had formal TT Coaching, you can now learn techniques “beyond the basics” in Denver Pong’s new TT 102 Group Class?  The class is limited to the first eight players to sign-up with preference given to TT101 graduates. The focus of instruction will be to add more stroke variations and to learn how to use serves and serve returns to implement basic tactics. The goal for the class is for everyone to be comfortable with playing matches.

Open only to participants who have completed the TT101 or TT102 Class. Focus is on implementing the skills you have learned in your classes  in strategic match play.

NEW! MASTER CLASSES

EVERY SATURDAY IN MAY, 2:00 - 3:30PM

USATT National Certified Coach, Richard McAfee, will be holding training sessions on a different subject each Saturday in May and June, from 2-3:30pm. Each Master Class will focus intensely on one subject. Participants can sign up for each individual Class that interests them at OmniPong.com

Each class is $15 (plus daily fee for non-members) and are limited to the first ten (10) paid participants.  Pro members may select one class each month for free.

LEARN THE 6 VARIATIONS OF TOPSPIN STROKES - Saturday, May 7th

Get the most out of your topspin game by adding more stroke variations to your toolbox. Class will cover the following strokes: Topspin, Counter-topspin, Topspin on Topspin, No-spin Topspin (fake loop), and the Smash Topspin. 


Who should attend? Any player who already has a solid basic topspin stroke but wants to add more topspin variations to their game. Instruction will include not only how to technically produce each stroke but how each variation is used tactically.

EFFECTIVE PRACTICE USING THE FIVE BALL TRAINING SYSTEM - Saturday, May 14th

If you feel like you cannot play in a match at the same level you train at daily, then this Master Class is for you. Learn how to use the 5 Ball Training System to improve both your technique and tactics. Eighty percent of all points are over by the time the ball is played five times. The 5 Ball Training System consists of drills that focus on each of those first five balls and is the best preparation for match play. This Class is for players at all levels.

IMPROVE YOUR SERVE RETURN GAME - Saturday, May 21st

Feel like your serve return is holding you back as a player, then this Master Class is for you.
Learn how to control the spin on the ball when returning serves. All variations of flips and pushes will be covered. Players will learn how to use each serve return to set-up a specific tactic by targeting the placements of their serve returns. In addition, practice methods for improving serve returns will be covered. Class is open to players of all levels.
